Ah, hello.

I haven't posted comics in a while (been busy working on Regular show!) but haven't necessarily abandoned Livejournal either. Next time I have comics to post they'll probably be at least linked to here.

2D Cloud had my new comedy/adventure comic, Arthur Turnkey Vol. 1, on sale at Minneapolis Indie Xpo and TCAF. You can purchase it here! Vol. 2 is on the way. As for more autobiographical comics... hopefully sooner rather than later.

In the meantime, much like everyone else in the world I've got Tumblrs and Twitters like all get out. If you must keep up with me, follow those.

On another note, check out Maddie's amazing new(spaper) comic, Ham Shears! It is great.

Memory Foam II at Minneapolis Indie Xpo!

If you live in Minneapolis you should definitely go to Minneapolis Indie Xpo next Saturday the 21st! Maddie and I will be there selling our comics, including the brand new Memory Foam II! It's been a crazy lately trying to get it done in time.

It's full of autobiographical comics, most of which are not available anywhere else. I'll probably put some of them online eventually, but for now you should get the book! It's better than a computer screen.

TWIN CITIES ZINEFEST

If any of you live anywhere near the "Twin Cities", you should come by Zinefest this weekend! I'll be there with qlady selling zines, including my brand new, hot-off-the-presses minicomic "Memory Foam".

It's a collection of a bunch of my autobiographical comics from the last year, including one I just made that is not online. It's a nine page story continuing my adventures in the world of unemployment. It looks like this when I lay it out on my couch:

Dork and Jake: A Portrait

Here are a few newspaper strips I drew back in fourth grade, all from a series called "Dork and Jake" that I continued (in the form of longer stories) until about 9th grade. In fact, the character from my experimental comic "Final" (and the one I'm working on now, "I Can't Help You") is directly based off the Dork character. Looks-wise, anyhow.

I actually submitted an even older version of this comic strip to Universal Press Syndicate back then, seriously expecting they'd hire me. I got a form rejection letter in return, if I remember correctly. I sent the originals.
