TWIN CITIES ZINEFEST
If any of you live anywhere near the "Twin Cities", you should come by Zinefest this weekend! I'll be there with ![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif) qlady selling zines, including my brand new, hot-off-the-presses minicomic "Memory Foam".  It's a collection of a bunch of my autobiographical comics from the last year, including one I just made that is not online. It's a nine page story continuing my adventures in the world of unemployment. It looks like this when I lay it out on my couch:  Yep. The whole affair is about 27 pages. Hope to see you there. |

Dork and Jake: A Portrait
Here are a few newspaper strips I drew back in fourth grade, all from a series called "Dork and Jake" that I continued (in the form of longer stories) until about 9th grade. In fact, the character from my experimental comic "Final" (and the one I'm working on now, "I Can't Help You") is directly based off the Dork character. Looks-wise, anyhow. I actually submitted an even older version of this comic strip to Universal Press Syndicate back then, seriously expecting they'd hire me. I got a form rejection letter in return, if I remember correctly. I sent the originals.  |
